Visit These Seven Cities During The NBA Season

There were a couple of years in which traveling was a bit of a hassle and, in some cases, not allowed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not that everything has calmed down yet again, but traveling has started to become a priority for some people again.

You shouldn’t just use the NBA for the NBA odds to wager on, but you should also use the league as a way to plan your next trip. The NBA has teams scattered all throughout the country, and a number of them play in some great travel destinations.

If you are looking to do some traveling from October through April, then keep the NBA and its host cities in mind. Here are seven of the best NBA cities to visit during the season, even if you have no intention of going to the game.

Miami, Florida (Heat)

If you have never been to Miami, Florida, then taking a trip during the NBA season would be the perfect time to do that. South Beach in Miami is one of the top beaches to visit in the United States, but there is more to see and do in Miami as well.

Make sure that you are prepared for some late nights if you visit Miami, as this is a city that never seems to sleep. Checking out a Heat game while you are there is actually a good plan as well.

Orlando, Florida (Magic)

Another great city to visit in the state of Florida is Orlando, and you are going to get a much different experience here than you would in Miami. Orlando is home to Disney, and there are so many other theme parks to explore as well.

The weather in Orlando is going to be a bit different from Miami as well, but you should be able to spend most of your time outdoors if you travel there. It can get hard to travel around in the city of Orlando, and it’s a good idea to use some public transportation to get around.

Boston, Massachusetts (Celtics)

The Boston Celtics are the most legendary team in NBA history, and you will want to go to a game if you are ever able to visit the area. Boston is also home to other possible teams, such as the Red Sox or Patriots, and catching one of those games would be a great opportunity as well.

Boston is a city that has a ton of history, and visiting a historical landmark should be on your list if you are in the area. Be sure to check the weather reports for Boston and only visit when it’s not going to be freezing cold.

San Antonio, Texas (Spurs)

There are a number of cities in the state of Texas that have an NBA team, but San Antonio is going to be the best city to visit. San Antonio is extremely underrated when it comes to a travel destination, but you are never going to run out of things to do during your trip.

The Riverwalk in San Antonio is a place where you can spend an entire day, and you won’t ever run out of things to see or do. The culture in San Antonio is amazing, and it’s also a city that has some of the nicest people that you will ever encounter.

Chicago, Illinois (Bulls)

You don’t typically want to travel to Chicago in the middle of winter, but there are times during an NBA season when it is a great place to visit. Chicago is one of the biggest cities in the world, and you are never going to run out of things to do in the Windy City.

From the Magnificent Mile to the dozens of parks scattered throughout the city, you are going to find plenty to do and explore. Be sure to pencil in some time to check out the best restaurants in the city, as you’ll find some of the best in the world.

New Orleans, Louisiana (Pelicans)

New Orleans is a city that is full of unique culture, and it can almost feel like you are stepping out of the United States at times during your visit. The Pelicans have become an extremely popular team in New Orleans, and going to a game would be a great way to start your journey.

Planning a trip to New Orleans during Mardi Gras is going to give you the best atmosphere, but you’ll also have to deal with crowds. If you really want to explore New Orleans and all that it’s known for, then you will want to visit at different times.

Phoenix, Arizona (Suns)

Phoenix is another city where you can go to escape the cold winter months, and it’s also a city that continues to grow and expand. Phoenix, Arizona, is going to be warm throughout the year, and it would be a great place to visit if you want to play some golf or go on a long hike.

The downtown portion of Phoenix has blossomed over the last few years, and new construction has popped up, which makes it an even better place to visit.
